people living or working in West London and also to promote the understanding of
counselling through education and training.
At
present the Centre has 60 counsellors, at various stages of their training.
There is a minimum training standard. All counsellors must have at least one
year’s training (in theory and practice) and be engaged in further training.
However, many counsellors have completed their training and are working towards
accreditation, or have established themselves as counsellors and wish to
contribute their skills towards an organisation, which they feel is of benefit
to the community. The counsellors come from various training orientations, most
commonly humanistic, Psychodynamic, psychoanalytic or cognitive behavioral.
